Known issues with TNDS

  • London data will not contain lengthy tube station closures.
  • Duplication: a service may be in the data more than once because it crosses a regional boundary.
  • Time Horizon for validity of journeys varies between the regions.
  • A single line (eg bus route number) can have multiple files.
  • Data may contain stop points that have not been added to NaPTAN yet.
  • Short working runs will appear to be available for public use for the whole journey unless the data user detects the dead run information at the start or end of the journey.

Data is provided to the TNDS on a region by region basis. Data is received on a weekly basis by regions and the data is updated Monday to Thursday.

Note: data in these files may not contain all the data for the area that supplied it. Some cross boundary public transport services may be provided by the neighbouring region.
